SpinImage DV Object Imaging Kit

The SpinImage DV Object Imaging Kit is a complete 3-D object capture solution that utilizes a Kaidan Motorized PiXi™-M turntable and the SpinImage DV™ software. With the Kit, along with your computer and any DV FireWire™-enabled camcorder, you can quickly and easily create 3-D movies.

The Kaidan Motorized PiXi™-M turntable is 10 inches in diameter and supports up to 20 pounds. Its rounded surface has no "hard" edge, improving the visual appeal of your final images. The turntable is coated in a durable matte black finish that also can be topped with an optional white turntable cover. And with its only control being a simple on/off switch, it is extremely easy to set up and use.

The SpinImage DV software is the fastest and easiest way to create 3-D objects for the Web or virtual catalogs. It received a 5-Apple review from MacHome magazine, which calls it "satisfying because it is a product that does exactly what it should." The Imaging Resource says "This is one of those things that just seems to make sense: Rather than laboriously snapping individual stills of an object to build-up a 3D image of it, why not just set it spinning on a turntable, and grab a digital video clip of a complete rotation?"
